Vestibular Migraine & Dizziness

Dizziness, motion sensitivity, visual sensitivity, and imbalance can be migraine-related—but not always. We evaluate carefully and treat when migraine physiology is the driver.

Common features

Patients may describe vertigo, rocking or “on a boat” sensation, visual motion sensitivity, nausea, head pressure, light sensitivity, and fatigue—sometimes with minimal head pain. We assess the broader pattern and consider other neurologic and inner-ear causes when appropriate.

Diagnosis-first approach
We confirm whether migraine physiology is likely and look for red flags that suggest other diagnoses requiring different evaluation.
Co-management when helpful
When vestibular therapy or PT is appropriate, we coordinate so the plan is aligned—especially for motion sensitivity and balance retraining.

What we don’t do

Not all dizziness is migraine-related. If your symptoms suggest an urgent or non-migraine cause, we’ll direct you to the right next step rather than forcing a headache label.
